Final report on the U7 round of blitz's:
 
The U7s played the last round of blitz's last Saturday in Suncroft. Despite the wet weather and late throw-in time there was, yet again, an excellent turnout. Everyone played very well, despite the difficult conditions, and a good team performance was again a key factor in the success of the games. There were particularly good performances from Caolin O'Toole, Jamie McLoughlin, Kieran Dempsey, Kieran Kavanagh, Nicolas Hore, Darragh Cunningham, Fionn McCarthy and Adam Earley.
Over the last 4 weeks, the players represented the club brilliantly with their impeccable behaviour, sporting performances and positive attitude at all times. Well done all !!

Sat 9th july - The Under 8’s (pictured below)played their first away round of the League today and won all three games against Castlemitchell, Castledermot and Athy! The last match against Athy was a closely fought dual with a mere 1 score separating the two teams in the final minute of the game. Raheen's perservered with nerves of steel to hold on. Everyone played brilliantly and all their training this year bore fruit on the day. They play at home next weekend.

 

The U7 and U8’s had a trip to Croker on Monday with 40 of them competing against two teams from Grangecullen from Laois and our third team playing Ballymanus from wiclow. All teams winning and competing very strongly. Afterwards the teams marched up the Hogan stand and were presented with a cup. A huge amount of parents and families supported the event to make it a great occasion. Thanks to all the coaches – Rory O’Donovan, Shane Cooke, John Farrelly, Steve Cawley, Barry McNamara and TJ Duggan. This will a day all will remember.
